We like to cheer for the little guy around here, so we decided to salute Chilean jockey, and future hall of famer, Jose Santos. The aging and crumbling rider has called it quits after twenty-three years of ball-busting saddle humping. This guy won more races, broke more bones, and made more money than Mini-Me and Herve Villechaize (‘Look boss, de plane!) combined. That may not be saying much, but with over 4,000 victories and over 182 million dollars in chedda, he at least helped put Chile (not Chili, Mr. Gringo McDougal), on the map. It only took a spine fracture of five vertebrae and an assortment of broken ribs to send this athlete to retirement.
