We fear Australia. Ever since watching Mad Max, we figured it was a wasteland of roving gangs wearing S&M gear driving around in pig-feces fueled cars. It’s only a movie, you say? It’s not real? Tell that to sportscaster Ben Davis.

One of those riving gangs beat up Davis as he was trying to report on the air outside a stadium in Melbourne.

“They had been hanging around during the commercial break and I had said to them ‘if you want to carry on on national television that is fine; just don’t touch me on air’,” Davis said last night.

Oh, they touched him all right. The four drunk rugby fans beat the crap out of him, causing cuts on his hands and wrists. And if that wasn’t enough, Davis might have suffered an even bigger ignominy.

He had been interrupted several times as four men skylarked in the background – one even tried to stick his tongue in his ear.

We fear for our pig-feces fueled futures.
