Phoenix Suns point guard Steve Nash’s back is as brittle as corn bread, so he’s already looking towards his post-basketball retirement plans. Nash set the record straight about rumors that he was about to shell out 300 million pounds to stake some ownership in his favorite fútbol club from England—Tottenham Hotspur. [Ed. Note: Calm down Alexito. They’ll probably be playing 2nd division next year.]
“I would love to own Spurs, but I don’t have a spare £300million in my back pocket, so it’s not going to happen,” Nash told the New York Times. “I am a lifelong fan of the club and it’s obviously extremely profitable and well run. When my career is over I would love to think there might be the chance of being involved with the club in some capacity.”
Shouldn’t he be concentrating on taking out the other Spurs? Because they are the team that’s going to stump him from reaching the NBA Finals again. Oh, wait. We get it. Irony. Cool.

Dude, there couldn’t be anything better than an avowed socialist buying the Jews favorite EPL team. It’d turn into a Marx rally with goals (other than overthrowing capitalism).

Steve Nash. He now picques my interest. Perhaps he’s secretly advocating for player and community ownership of the team, one step ahead the Green Bay Packers. Red Ken Livingston would be thrilled!

You would think he’d be concentrating on something else at the moment. I’m sure he won’t be liking anything Spurs related once the playoffs come around.
