Soccer leagues around the world have bashed the MLS as mediocre, but you know you have your work cut out for your posse when terrorist group Al-Qaeda releases a video proclaiming that your league is simply a myriad of losers. A video was released showcasing Los Angeles Galaxy star David Beckham, Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney, and FC Barcelona’s Thierry Henry as Al-Qaeda’s new villains. And why are they targeting these guys? Probably because young Muslims are putting down their Korans to kick the ball around. Vatos at News of the World reported that the video was directly attributed to actual death threats towards the players, with the most highly profiled athlete, David Beckham, as their prize target.
