USC’s Mark Sanchez is wasting no time in letting people know his background. The recently inserted QB, who took the reins from John David Booty two games ago, has pimped out his mouthguard with the colors of the Mexican flag. Not only that, it has the flag’s emblematic eagle and snake. Luckily he stopped at having them enchilada–flavored. According to Sanchez:
“It’s not a Mexican power thing or anything like that. It’s just a little bit of pride in our heritage. Hopefully, it inspires somebody and it’s all for the best.”
Sanchez said he enjoyed supportive gestures from USC fans. One wore a serape and others have donned wrestling masks.
If Sanchez keeps on winning, we feel he’s going to inspire co-eds to take off more than they put on.
