Randy Couture has left the UFC Octagon for Hollywood’s silver screen. Couture cites UFC’s inability to sign Fedor Emelianenko as his primary reason for leaving, but it’s been confirmed that Couture was sparring with casting directors while his blood vessels were being spared. According to UFC President Dana White:
“I talked to Randy several weeks ago and he said that if he couldn’t fight Fedor, then he has nothing left to prove in the sport of mixed martial arts. He has been doing a lot of acting … I think it’s a great move for Randy’s acting career to retire from fighting while he is on top.”
Good luck acquiring that “Bouncer Number 2” role.
