So What Do Boston Fans Have To Whine About Now? Nothing.

Hey it’s 3:01pm. Did you hear that the Boston Red Sox finished off the sweep against the Rockies in the World Series last night? Well they did. Now all Bostonians are raging wildly because their once cursed team is now a two-time champ in four years. So what the hell is actually going on in Boston anyway? The once glorious town of champs-turned cursed sports crap-town is now neck deep in championship teams. You name a contender and they have it.

The Celtics are looking to blow the Eastern Conference away. The New England Patriots are so tight on their game they make a bunghole jealous. And then you have the Red Sox: a team which once shimmered vibrantly with the glitter of shittiness that even the Cubs looked good next to them. Well, that’s a stretch. But what is certain is that there is something magical brewing in Boston at the moment and since we’re from Los Angeles [Ed. Note: Meaning me.] we’re fucking jealous. Because as one bloke from the Boston Herald put it:

“With the way the team is currently configured, championships could become regular occurrences.”

We don’t remember you guys being so damn cocky before 2004. Whatever the case, you better enjoy it now before you’re as stale as a tortilla chip after a World Series party. P.S. Los Angeles during the 80’s (Dodgers, Raiders, and “Showtime) or Boston in the 2000’s? Ah, damn let the discussion begin.

To think I used to root for the Red Sox…Actually, I still do, it’s their fans I hate now. Is Boston really a maligned city? Aside from the Red Sox (who still managed to make it to a World Series at least once nearly every decade since 1918, look it up) who do Boston fans have to complain about? They have the most storied NBA franchise in basketball history (16 titles and 44 playoff appearances in 57 years) and one of the original six NHL teams (OK, so the Bruins suck, but nobody in Boston cares when they suck, they just jump the bandwagon when they’re good).

Oh and don’t get me started on the Patriots. I don’t ever wanna hear a Boston fan say that they “deserve” these titles now. The Pats made Super Bowl appearances in both the 80’s and 90’s, most people alive right now don’t remember when they were epically bad. I’d be cussing in Spanish right now, but it’s not enough to drown out that moronic accent. I hate Massholes.

Boston sports teams have NI MIERDA to whine about…

I happened to be in both places for these championship times in these cities, and, truthfully, L.A. was more fun: most people didn’t care as much, at until Jerry Buss went tarudo and saw the dollar signs in his eyes with Shaq and Kobe. Those championship teams were SO DAMN BORING.

At any rate, the Lakers/Dodgers/Raiders thing was just awesome, and cool to watch teams win and have fun playing the game. It was simply a part of living in L.A., like having Vin Scully, Chick Hearn, and Jaime Jarrin be your bleacher-seat companion. Not at all a psychotic obsession that it seems to be out here in Boston.

It’s nice the Sox won, and I was pulling for them. But I think they (and the Pats) should be cut off. And the Pats should have been made to forfeit the game when they got caught stealing against the Jets earlier this season.

No way Boston is an underdog anymore, and the hyper-managed way of playing is horrible and dull and just apestoso.
