Heads Up: Machochip Gets High On Life

  • The Lakers’ Lamar Odom and Luke Walton are no strangers to the bong, but they were pretty clear-eyed for this play. Kobe who? Oh yeah, Kobe Bryant, the best baller in the NBA. But still, this bounce pass was pretty. [YouTube]
  • Ricky Williams had his first practice Wednesday after being reinstated by the NFL after his suspension for marijuana. Coach Cam Cameron said he doesn’t know if he’s going to put Williams immediately back into the line-up, stating he’s taking it “one day at a time.” Jeez, is everyone on the Dolphins team in rehab? [AJC.com]
  • And in honor of Ricky Williams’ return, we link to this story: “Mets Acquire Estrada For Mota.” Hehehehehe… where the nachos? [MLB Trade Rumors]
  • Speaking of nachos, the thoroughly entertaining Washington Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas will be out three months after having knee surgery. Arenas recently announced that he was changing his catch phrase from “Hibachi” to “Nacho.” Apparently there’s a lot of time to think about the little things when on the road. [Yahoo]
  • When the New York Jets and Dallas Cowboys play today, it’ll be the second time that the Jones brothers—the Jets’ Thomas and the Cowboys’ Julius—play opposite each other at running back. We’d love to see an on-field brawl with these two to find out which brother is the master of the nuggie. [Sporting News]
  • The Phoenix Suns threw a $100 a head function at a nightclub that went to the team’s charity group. No word if Suns’ coach Mike D’Antoni told the crowd to get crunk and get loud. [Jen’s Free Throws]
