The Orlando Magic Are Playing Tricks On Us

Suddenly there is some crazy buzz in mid-Florida that the Orlando Magic may actually be contenders this year. Oops, we just chuckled in our boxers. Yeah they are carrying a nice little six-game winning streak into San Antonio tonight, and remarkably became the first team to make it to double digit wins. Frankly, we thought the Boston Celtics would would start 10-0 by way of forfeits, but Orlando even showed them whose boss. But wait, that was the Eastern Conference. Tonight they play the conference that could maintain it’s own separate league of stars and champions. Even though Orlando has been climbing the ladder of victory, we’re not so sure they’ll pull out of Texas with their heads held high.

When playing at home, San Antonio are 6-0 this year. But more importantly, the Magic are a whopping 3-16 in San Antonio over the past two seasons. It’s hard to beat a front line consisting of Latin-humping Tony Parker; non-Argentine dwarf Manu Ginobili; Snaglishista speakin’ Bruce Bowen; and that tall drink of water known as Tim Duncan. Whose taking the fifth spot in the lineup for San Antonio tonight: 18,500 screaming Texans. No luck getting through that.
