The University of Southern California Fans Can No Longer Curb Their Gangster Side

The recent relationship between USC and the Los Angeles Coliseum commission isn’t nearly as nice as the USC song girls. And it was only a matter of time before some crazed lunatics weighed in on the fiasco. After Coliseum panel-jockeys were resistant to USC’s advances earlier this week, the university decided to take matters into their own hands and posted a public letter on their website, asking their alumni to complain to Coliseum officials. Well, um, that didn’t turn out so well. Numb-nuts.

A Coliseum Commission executive said his office received scores of “incredibly threatening” phone calls after USC posted a letter on its website urging fans to complain.
Some of the commission’s nine members said they had been harassed too, and at least one has canceled plans to attend the regular-season finale against UCLA on Saturday. “I’ve gotten many, many calls along the following lines: ‘Hey, Mr. Chadwick, hope our paths don’t cross. Understand you’re married, you’ve got three little girls,’ ” Commissioner Bill Chadwick said.

What do you expect when you’re threatening to oust the most decorated Los Angeles football team of the decade from their home turf? Look out for an extra surge of animosity and spite at tomorrow’s clash between UCLA V USC. We’ll be rooting for…eh, eh. Sike.
