Pro Bowl safety Sean Taylor died last night in a Miami hospital after getting shot in the leg. He was 24 years old. This is the second NFL player to be killed in a shooting in less than a year—the Denver Broncos’ Derrant Williams was the first, on New Years Day. The news comes only hours after Taylor showed signs of improvement, clutching a nurse’s hand at one point. Moments later he passed away.
