You’d think a salary of $250,000 a week would translate into obtaining an entourage of one, or ten private security, body guards and ex Greco-Roman high school wrestling champions to protect millions in assets (see assets: right). Liverpool FC captain Steven Gerrard doesn’t think so and because of his negligence his precious WAG (Alex Curran) was robbed at gun point on Tuesday while he was participating in a match against Marseille. Curran had a $20,000 Cartier watch snagged and now Liverpool are wondering if they should take any action to supply their players, of whom seven players have had the shitty luck to be burglarized in the last year, with some form of security. No brainer alert.
Liverpool Football Club may employ security guards to protect the luxury homes of their players during away matches after a spate of burglaries by organised gangs. The club announced it would take urgent action after Steven Gerrard, the captain, became the seventh player to be burgled on Tuesday night, while he was away leading Liverpool to victory in Marseilles in the European Champions’ League.
More than half the team have been targeted in the same way, during high-profile matches.
What is it with the hesitancy? Liverpool’s American owners are probably going to wait until the team advances beyond the last 16 of the Champions League to justify a little extra spending.

There has to be a group of hooligans who’ll take care of his place in exchange for pints.
