ESPN, the same network who can’t go fifteen minutes without talking about the Patriots or Red Sox, has decided they’d take the Boston sports scene down a notch. On their website’s Page 2 section Friday, ESPN.com decided to ask America how they’d like to see Beantown screwed over: the Steelers beating the Patriots, Johan Santana being traded to any team but the Red Sox, or the Celtics’ Kevin Garnett blowing out his knee. Wow, that’s pretty screwed up, even for internet standards.
Garnett, his mouth ajar in disbelief upon hearing about the poll after last night’s game, recovered long enough to say, “Wow, that’s really distasteful, man. Man, I mean, that’s my life, my career. You don’t joke about something like that.”
This is pretty shocking, considering ESPN.com stopped asking visitors in polls if they cared about hockey because it was disparaging to the sport. We think during Garnett’s off-season retaliatory knee-capping of Chris Berman, he should ask the announcer which catchphrase he’d like to hear during the beat down.

Screw Garnett. He should be in Los Angeles hittin’ on wanna-be reality show stars and drinkin’ Hennessey with Snoop.
