After a grueling set of meetings over the last two days, the FA have reached an agreement with Italian Fabio Capello to take over as head coach of defunctoids England. Thumbs up, dude. Way to go.
Fabio Capello will be appointed as the new England coach, subject to final contract negotiations between the 61-year-old Italian and the Football Association (FA).Capello will be tasked with turning around the fortunes of the England football team.
Capello had his appointment approved late on Thursday by the FA board who were acting on the recommendation of chief executive Brian Barwick.
It is reported that the final negotiations revolve around Capello’s request to install a number of key backroom staff in the England national set up.
No word yet on the incentives package, but we’re sure there’s an extra million for every game he can get England to win against a major competitor. Sources close to us report that he’s already benched David Beckham and he’ll try to acquire French striker Karem Benzema to the team, even though he’s not English.
