This past weekend, F1 legend Michael Schumacher was in the Bavarian town of Coburg (the samba capital of Europe!) to pick up an Australian Shepherd dog named Ed. Apparently, playtime with Ed was so intense that before he knew it, Schumacher was late for his flight. So late, that he found the need to commandeer the taxi taking him to the airport because it was going so damn slow. Yeah, try doing that in New York, Mike. You wouldn’t make it out of the city.
“I found myself a passenger, which was strange enough, but having ‘Schumi’ behind the wheel was incredible,” said taxi driver Tuncer Yilmaz.”He drove at full throttle around the corners and overtook in some unbelievable places.”
What we’d really like to know is if Ed was in the car during the driving exposition. If so, why is the taxi driver so happy? We’ve seen what dogs do in cars just on a trip to the vet, let alone riding shotgun with a deranged Michael Schumacher behind the wheel. It couldn’t have been pretty.

The Samba capital of Europe? I thought the Germans only did dark house music?
