Nery Castillo, Manchester City’s newest acquisition, is very proud of his new threads. He was finally welcomed by the English club with open arms this weekend and Castillo is eager to prove he’s more than just a whining tantrum touter. He’s specifically called out derby rivals Manchester United because Castillo was once snubbed by the Red Devils when he was like, oh, 13 years old.
Castillo, 23, had a trial with United seven years ago, but there were problems regarding a work permit, and United manager Sir Alex Ferguson lost interest in the Mexican and never pursued his case.“I’ve still got photos of me with Sir Alex and all of the players.
“Maybe now I can get my revenge on them with City.
“I can’t wait to play in my first derby.”
Besides holding a severely awkward grudge, Nery declared he would also do anything and everything possible to mess up Cristiano Ronaldo’s hair during a game.

score some goals, win some silver and then talk SHIT! Other than that, keep your mouth shut, because you are going to get broken by some United defender.

Haha. Um, I thought the same thing, but not so harshly. I agree though: make something happen first, THEN proceed to talk smack.

From the department of mixed sporting metaphors:
Nery’s like an alcohol funny car at the starting line, but he’s flaming out in the pits…Dude better bring it the entire quarter mile…that is, if he can get himself some time on the track.
