Wow. We thought all this “foreigners out of English football” mess blew over when the foreigners starting winning all the awards, but Peter Crouch has brought it back like sexy. This past weekend, against Chelsea, Crouch was sent off for a foul on Nigerian Blues midfielder John Obi Mikel, who Crouch accused of flopping big time because he’s a foreigner. And that’s what they do, unlike Englishmen like John Terry or Frankie Lampard who play hard.

“What I’m thinking is if you go in on Frank Lampard or John Terry would they roll around like Obi Mikel did? I don’t think they would have done. Would someone like Carra (Jamie Carragher) have gone down like that? I think it’s safe to say that he wouldn’t.”

“Foreign players have brought a lot to our game but that’s something you don’t want to see. I didn’t catch him but he’s gone down like he’s been shot.”

Mikel’s agents have shot back at Crouch, calling his statements “potentially racist.” Well it is or it isn’t fellas. Don’t rile that pot unless you have focus. Like The Simpsons Sideshow Bob once quipped, “Attempted murder? They don’t give the Nobel Prize for attempted chemistry, do they?”
