Tony Parker's A Lonely Spur

tony_parker_texts.jpg

With ParkOria denials of marital doom coming at a furious pace, a certain piece of damning evidence came to light. Dun-dun-duuuunn: text messages released by the home wrecker. Yes, the shorthand of the millennium might be coming back to bite Tony in the ass. Not to mention they make him look clingy and whiny. All in all, we’d rather get busted fanatically texting another dude.

What we don’t understand is why isn’t anyone questioning the validity of these texts? We once saw a news report about the rampant crystal meth exchange on craigslist. They even showed a couple of ads on there! That they could’ve totally planted! This is the same deal. How do we know she didn’t program her Uncle Claude’s phone number to say “Tony Parker” on her phone? Those French… they’re sneaky that way.

Dear Machochip:

We are counsel to Tony Parker, athlete of the popular basketball team San Antonio Spurs and husband of Ms Eva Longoria.

It is well established that a person who commercially exploits the name or likeness of someone without their consent is liable for all of the damages caused thereby. Additionally, the Image and your conduct in using the Image on the Site constitute unfair business practices and false advertising in violation of the California Business and Professions Code; intentional infliction of emotional distress; a violation of the Lanham Act, 15 U.S.C. §1125(a); and harassment, which is a criminal offense.

Please also note that any failure to comply with applicable privacy laws may result in direct action against you by the Federal Trade Commission, in addition to other litigation.
Tony Parker hereby demands that you immediately: (1) permanently remove the Image from your Site, databases and servers and prevent any further uploading or display thereof; (2) provide us with the name and contact information of the person who originally created and/or posted the Image; and (4) complete, execute, and return to me the enclosed Declaration by January 16, 2008 to confirm that you are complying with Tony Parker’s demand.

While Tony Parker hopes to resolve this matter quickly and without resort to further legal action, Ubisoft reserves all rights to seek appropriate legal relief, including attorneys’ fees, injunctive relief, statutory damages, costs, and enhanced damages.

Sincerely,

Mr Anderson
