We know little about steroids, other than that they shrink your nads and give you backne. But one thing we are sure of is that everyone’s gone a little touchy about distancing themselves in this era of hair pill cover ups.
Dr. Dai Jianping, a doctor with the Chinese Olympic team, has even eliminated traditional Chinese medicine from being used for his athletes during the next Olympic games. No use risking that ginger might potentially be found as a steroid concealer a decade from now and embarrass the country, Marion Jones-style.
“To avoid the doping problem, the clinic will not provide Chinese medicine,” Dai said, after attending a medical forum. He said the decision not to use traditional remedies was made because the medicines had not been used in other Olympics.
“We hope you will not relate traditional Chinese medicine with doping,” he added.
Whoa Whoa Whoa, Dr. Dai. We usually wouldn’t, but it seems that thou doth protest too much.
“We know there is no relationship with doping and Chinese traditional medicine… The Chinese traditional herbal medicine has enjoyed a process of several thousand years. It is very healthy for the body.”
Uh-huh. That’s the exact same thing Victor Conte said to congress before they busted BALCO. Get him!
