We have to be honest with you—we’re a little saddened by Tony Romo’s departure from the playoffs. No, it’s not that we root for him or the Cowboys, but we were so eager for the two weeks leading up to the Super Bowl filled with stories sanctifying hearthrobs. Now, all we have to look forward to are stories about the all-too-perfect Pats and most likely how Brett Farve is having fun again playing the game he grew up wit…zzzzz…

Luckily, we know what’s to blame for all this (other than that atrocious, pourous-ass offensive line): The New York Post. Yes, the NewsCorp-owned paper so conservative it makes George W look like Al Gore, flew out a Simpson ringer from Washington state to sit behind the Cowboys’ bench and apparently throw off Romo’s whole game. Damn him and his easily distracted eyes!

Simpson didn’t show up yesterday, but The Post brought Nordstrom - a 21-year-old nanny from Bothell, Wash. - to Texas Stadium.

We sat her in the third row behind the Dallas bench, and she must have made the difference - Romo’s final drive was stopped short of the end zone.
