Roman Abramovich, the Russian oil Tycoon who owns EPL’s Chelsea and like a trillion oil wells, has decided that he’s going to divorce his wife of 17 years, Irina Abramovich. Of course this has to do with him seeing a younger woman, and him getting busted by the English tabloids. But while the story has been told a million times before, the outcome has not.
The cost of the divorce is going to be $2 billion, which is going to be a record that Michael Jordan is now happy he no longer owns. The crazy thing is, it could’ve been worse—five times worse.
Had Irina Abramovich, a former air stewardess, chosen to pursue her husband through the British courts she could have been entitled to half his £11 billion fortune.
Although Mrs Abramovich was said to have consulted leading divorce lawyers, experts believed a private settlement was always more likely and said she might have had to settle for as little as £1 billion.
Well, at least he got wonderful children out of the marriage, making her way more productive than $60 million bust Andriy Shevchenko has ever been for him.

That’s revenue he’ll recuperate in one 7 hour oil drilling. Rich bastard.
