Magic Johnson Should Stick To Opening Movie Theaters And Starbucks Franchises

We think Magic Johnson the basketball player is the best all-around baller in the history of the NBA. Thanks to his stats, stories and rings, we have enough evidence to support our claim. Unfortunately for Magic Johnson the basketball analyst, there isn’t any of that proof to support his theory that the New York Knicks—currently under the reign of the Magic Man’s BFF, Isiah Thomas—are going to make the playoffs. Yeah, let’s talk after Jason Kidd leaves the Nets.

“They’re going to make the playoffs. I think that they’re going to be a tough eight or seven seed, too.”
“I can see when teams are starting to make their run,” Johnson said. “And I think that they’ll settle in after the All-Star break and make their run. No way that I don’t see them making that eight, seven seed.”

Man, Magic almost had us believing at the eighth seed, but lost us when he threw in that seventh. Always like him, taking it too far. Someone should remind him the next time he wants to support his buddy Isiah that the only thing stopping the Knicks from being the worst team in the entire NBA is the soft, pillowy corpse of what used to be Shaquille O’Neal and his Miami Heat team.
