Lorena Ochoa Loves People, Tiger Woods Wants You To Shut The F*#& UP!

If you want to compare the LPGA’s best and the PGA’s best, stop right here. We perused through USA Today’s golf page when we caught sight of Lorena Ochoa’s name and a post commending her recent visit to Ping, the company that provides her those nifty, tour winning clubs.

She met with a gathering of 400 people, ranging from Ping CEO John Solheim to the line workers who assemble clubs. After remarks by Solheim, she thanked the staff, did a Q&A and signed autographs. Many members of Ping’s staff are Hispanic, so Ochoa, who is from Mexico, spoke with some workers in Spanish while posing for pictures. Ochoa has played Ping clubs since she was an amateur, and last year she signed an endorsement contract with the company.
“She treats everyone as equal,” said Pete Samuels, Ping’s director of communications. “She doesn’t see herself as any different, except she happens to be a really good golfer.”

OMG, she just like the Virgin Mary. We shrugged at the posts quaint portrait until directly below it we encountered a blurb about Tiger Woods.

Tiger Woods draws more attention than any other golfer, but the notoriety comes at a price. Last Sunday at the CA Championship near Miami, he responded angrily when a photographer snapped his picture while he was hitting a shot. This happens to Woods repeatedly, and this time, according to The Miami Herald, he responded, “The next time a photographer shoots an (expletive) picture, I’m going to break his (expletive) neck.”

It may be a coincidental juxtaposition of the best female golfer and the best male golfer in the world, one depicted as a saint and the other as some sort of monstrosity driven egomaniac, but the media is still obsessed with the “angry black man.” Seriously, is it news if Tiger Woods wants some peace and quiet before he takes a shot that could
