After two years being the big men on the Stanford campus and hooking up with co-eds like pro golfer Michele Wie, Brook and Robin Lopez have decided to go pro and enter next year’s NBA draft. The twin towers made their statements through dear old mom, but she released them separately to the media so each could have their moment in the sun. Awww, that’s nice considering they’re going to be in the draft green room together, but will leave about five rounds apart since Brook’s projected to go early in the first round.
“After a great deal of thought and discussion with my family, I feel it is the appropriate time to enter the NBA draft,” Brook Lopez said. “It is the dream of every basketball player to play and succeed in the NBA and I feel I am ready to take on this new challenge.”
“When they go into the NBA, they’re going to go to separate teams,” [Lopez’ mother] said. “Robin, his whole life he’s been underappreciated and undervalued.”
Well, here’s to hoping their careers end up more like Tiki and Ronde Barber (who both have Super Bowl Rings) than Jason and Jarron Collins, another set of basketball-playing Stanford twins now toiling away in New Jersey and Utah.

So much for what being educated at Stanford can get you….
