Luis Resto illegally remove padding from his gloves—providing him with bare knuckles—25 years ago in a bout against Billy Collins Jr., but today it got worse. After 2 1/2 decades, Resto confessed, with his trainer’s help, to dipping his boxing tape in plaster of Paris, providing him with a rock-like arsenal to pound Collins to a bloody pulp. With this new revelation, Resto makes Mike Tyson’s ear biting incident look like child’s play. A bit of history:
Resto confessed to the widow of Collins Jr. at a film screening for a documentary about the infamous match.
“I should have said something. I lived with it for 24 years. I had to let it go. I’m sorry I kept my mouth shut,” Resto said, according to The Tennessean. “I went to see Collins’ ex-wife. She accepted my apology. I went to the cemetery, too, to show my respect to Billy Collins. I told Billy, ‘I’m sorry for what I did to you.’ “
Talk about a direct-non-stop-one-way-ticket to hell. Here’s the trailer for the film called “Cornered.” It will be screened in Nashville, Tennessee.
How is this guy not serving 25 to life in a federal penitentiary and battling really aggressive (and horny) prisoners on a daily basis?
