Here’s Manny Ramirez from yesterday’s Red Sox-Orioles tilt A) catching the fly ball over his head, B) climbing the left field wall to C) high-five a fan in the stands before D) picking off the Orioles runner at first.
We know Asdrubal Cabrera’s unassisted triple play on Tuesday was awesome and historic, but there’s something about a grinning, dread-locked outfielder high-fiving fans after a lucky catch that merits acknowledgment from history majors as well, dontcha think? At least it’s possible for the catch to be redemption for this?
