It’s safe to say that the former is the greater loss. AC Milan stumbled during the last weekend of Serie A action and finished a dismal fifth, leaving them well out of Champions League contention for next year. That means that stars like Alexandre Pato and Kaká, a.k.a. Clark Kent as seen in picture, will have to endure the mediocre UEFA Cup instead of flourishing in Champions League glory. Seriously, UEFA Cup action is hardly televised. And if you can put with GOL TV, then you may get to watch some replays.
In other news: AC Milan have nullified any plans for Kaka to participate in the Beijing Summer Olmpics. Citing no real reason whatsoever, the Italian club doesn’t believe a squad of mostly Under-23 players merits a Kaka call-up. Our theory: they want to sell Kaká, or Kaká wants to leave, and they need to keep him healthy so his stock doesn’t plummet to the devilish depths where the Italian league resides. Gosh that Italian league irks our soul.
‘In view of the Olympic Games in China, Milan confirms that it will show no impediment for under-23 players like Alexandre Pato and Rodrigo Digao to join the (Olympic) national team. ‘However, Milan will never grant an over-23 player like Kaka the same allowances considering the Brazilian champion is already a member of the Brazil national team, that is the National A team.
It’s more like, “We’re waiting for Roman Ambrovich to open his wallet to us and offer a nice chunk of change.” Do you think Kaka will leave?
