Russia had no intentions of being sent home this weekend. Yet, after a magnificent second half goal, the Russians found themselves in extra time against a Dutch team that performed extremely well during group stages. Good thing the knockout stages are a completely different ball game. As the Dutch began to surge, the Russians pressed forward and, with persistence, needed only inches and a lot of courage to take the lead in extra time. Yet, how in the world did Dmitri Torbinski’s face miss that goal post?
