Make no mistake that Juan Pablo Angel will be analyzed, criticized, admired, hated and revered as the saving grace for the New York Red Bulls once Jozy Altidore departs for Recreativo Huelva Villareal. (More on Recreativo in a bit.) So, Angel will need to step up his game and find some more tricks up his much older sleeves if he wants New York to stand by his side. This goal isn’t the prettiest. It only seems that way because 90% of MLS goals are astonishing for the same reason that a picture Lindsey Lohan without a drink in her hands is astonishing: it’s rare. But, the finesse is there. And we like it.
