  • NHRA funny car driver Scott Kalitta didn’t survive this horrendous crash from Saturday. After traveling more than 300mph, Kalitta’s car exploded and without a parachute, slammed into the end of the runway. He was airlifted to a nearby hospital but later died due to severe injuries. [YouTube]
  • While most of Europe was glued to their screens and watching Euro 2008 soccer, England defender John Terry was with his wonder bra modeling wife in Barbados. Something tells us he doesn’t mind the vacation. [Daily Mail]
  • In an effort to clean up his image and not come off as a juvenile delinquent, “Pacman” Jones wants you to drop the “Pacman” from his name. Did you know his real name is “Adam?” Yeah, we didn’t either. [Yahoo]
  • Apparently, sport’s blogs aren’t the “Wild Wild West” anymore. Whatever. You try uploading nudie pics of Nereida Gallardo from a New York City cafe. That shiz is totally wild. [LA Times]
  • The U.S. Men’s Olympic basketball team roster is up and ready to go. Kobe Bryant and Lebron James are leading the charge, while Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen are somewhere licking their new championship trophy. [NY Times]
  • Oscar De La Hoya donated $3.5 million to a charter school in Los Angeles known as Green Dot Public Schools. We’re estimating the money is around two rounds worth of dough. [Bragging Rights Corner]
  • Italian ref Roberto Rossetti will be the Euro 2008 finals ref. Expect tons of flopping to go unnoticed. [BBC]
