In a stunning upset, Maria Sharapova and her novel, white tuxedo shirts will be no more at Wimbledon. Sharapova struggled early and saw a 154th ranked player by the name of Alla Kudryavtseva beat her silly 6-2 and 6-4. This is only the second time she’s ever been defeated so early on in the tournament since her first full season on the tennis circuit in 2003.
The moniker of “best dressed” was given to her today by Houston’s The Chron but that title will probably go to someone else now. We hate to speculate, but it had to be to the ruffles that sent her bidding adieu prematurely. All eyes will now rest on the lovely Ana Ivanovic. Well, at least ours will.
