- Euro 2008: Achtung, baby! Germany falls to Croatia 2-1 and has to wait until their meeting with Austria to find out whether they get to the quarterfinals. [The Canadian Press]
- MLB:A day after a fastball breaks Alfonso Soriano’s hand, the Chicago Cubs beat the Atlanta Braves in the 11th inning. The winning run is scored after Atlanta’s pitchers load the bases and hit the batsman to send it in. The ironing is delicious. [ESPN]

The pain is barely registering from the dismal 2nd half last night. The numbness is subsiding from the Lakers’ plunge into abysmal crapulence. Or maybe it’s that the hangover’s wearing off.
