So after a 4-1 drubbing at the hands of the Argentines, followed up by a 4-0 win over the Peruvians, the captain and goalkeeper of the Mexican national soccer team, Oswaldo Sanchez, didn’t know how to feel. And as we all have in those times, Sanchez had trouble sleeping. Unfortunately, this slight bit of insomnia led to him getting arrested. At least Sven-Goran Eriksson is ready for this kind of shit. Doesn’t something like this happen every weekend at Man City… or anywhere else in the EPL? Anyway, according to Sanchez…

“Sometimes we’ll listen to music in one guy’s room or another guy’s room — and that’s what happened. We turned up the music a little and the people at the hotel called the police.

Mexicans, a hotel room and the police. This never ends well.

“[The hotel staff] came twice saying to turn down the music. I wasn’t there those times. I was there the third time — that’s what the police got there. I got scared because I saw the police. I tried telling my teammates that we shouldn’t get in trouble, and unfortunately they grabbed me. Maybe for being the captain…of the situation.”

Um, Ozzie, just because you’re captain of the team doesn’t mean you’re captain of everything. Unless they were FIFA cops and you had your C armband on, we’re going to call BS on your story and say you were the one arrested because you were being the jerk.
