Milton Bradley Doesn't Know The Rule That Journalists Are Not To Be Harmed

Even in the most dire of situations, i.e. riots, war, Britney Spears outings, you’re not supposed to harm or attempt to harm the press. (Paparazzi excluded) Unless you work in Russia, you’re relatively safe to report or say whatever is on your mind. Nonetheless, press should always be cautious. And if you’re writing or saying anything about Milton Bradley these days, you should probably have a bodyguard and/or pepperspray sitting at arms length when announcing a Texas Rangers’ game these days.

Milton Bradley is an emotional player. That emotion overflowed in the clubhouse after Wednesday’s game in response to something Kansas City Royals television broadcaster Ryan Lefebvre said about him on the air during the Texas Rangers’ 11-5 win. Bradley left the clubhouse after the game and reached the press box but never talked to Lefebvre. General manager Jon Daniels and manager Ron Washington chased after Bradley, and Daniels escorted him back to the clubhouse.

We’d have a little more empathy is this wasn’t normal in the life of Milton.

Uh-oh. There’s a knock at our door.
