Out of all the athletes to mock, why would you pick the one who can bludgeon you with his sporting tool? Golfer Retief Goosen has gone and done exactly that, calling Tiger Woods a faker because he didn’t believe the Open champ’s knee truly hurt like everyone in the universe was reporting—even though he’s now out for the season getting his knee repaired. If were Retief, we’d make sure Tiger’s gold clubs had extra grip when he came back to make sure he doesn’t get a nine-iron flying at his head one day.
After Monday’s 19-hole playoff, Goosen told the newspaper, “It just seemed that when he hit a bad shot his knee was in pain and on his good shots he wasn’t in pain. You see when he made the putts and he went down on his knees and was shouting, ‘Yeah,’ his knee wasn’t sore.
“Nobody really knows if he was just showing off or if he was really injured. I believe if he was really injured, he would not have played.”
On Wednesday, Woods announced that he would have ACL surgery and said he has a double stress fracture in his left leg. Even after those statements, Goosen, also a U.S. Open champion, didn’t entirely back off of his earlier comments.
“I was being light-hearted,” Goosen told the Times on Wednesday. “No one but Tiger himself knows how badly hurt he was. But if he was really badly hurt, he would have withdrawn, wouldn’t he?”
Apparently being “light-hearted” in the Goosen household is totally different than in any other. We can just imagine report card day—“Hey son, don’t worry about that D in math. Hey, what’s that over there?” Which is of course the moment he decks his son.

I agree 100%! Tiger certainly displayed pain along with anger on most of the bad shots. What bothered me more than Tiger “possibly” faking how much pain he had was his temper. I know, I know, he is the best in the world but that does not excuse the childish fits he displayed. Throwing the clubs and cursing are reserved for guys like me that can’t play! It was not too difficult to tell what foul language he was using and while I am not naive to think he is immune from it, he still could be a bit more grown up.

Tiger has always thrown his clubs and cursed his bad shots. He’s done that his entire career so I would have to say that he’s been consistent in his behaviour as far as thats concerned. As for his knee. In the begining, I thought he was being a little overdramatic, but now I know otherwise.

you guys dont know shit. go back and watch that open and you will see that even on his good shots he had a grimace on his face. No one as good as him would fake an injury and then go out for an entire season. get your shit right
