Peru suffered a humiliating loss against Uruguay earlier this week, in a game that witnessed Uruguayan international Diego Forlan score a hat-trick, which left Peru second to last in their group with only three points from six games. Pathetic. But Peruvian international Norberto Solano tried, in the most creative and earnest way his meager mind could contrive, to rally his comrades before the pivotal match. See that photograph? It’s Norberto the gunslinger pointing a 9mm at the Uruguayan national jersey. Classy.

The graphic image was printed on Peru’s most circulated daily publication, which means there are children everywhere pointing their water guns at Uruguyan jerseys everywhere. We wouldn’t tolerate brute gestures like that here in America…now would we, Paul Pierce?
