Jose Guillen Is Just A Mad Individual

guillens_crazy.jpg

There’s a reason why Jose Guillen has played for most MLB teams and kicked off the Angels squad that won the World Series halfway through the season. He’s a maniac. But he swings a mean bat, so teams will take a chance on him. Apparently, MLB teams are like girlfriends, just trying to change you into a respectable citizen to show off to their mother or respective fan base. Unfortunately, Guillen’s a love ‘em and leave ‘em type who might be leaving KC soon after knocking shit over and arguing with the pitching coach.

Guillen was sitting at a table by his locker when he toppled over a chair and made a comment in Spanish. After a teammate attempted to calm him down, Guillen appeared to get more agitated, tossed over another chair and said, “Coaches don’t need to be all up in our … business.”
McClure, who was sitting at his locker, turned around and said, “Jose, if you’re talking about me, then you need to shut … up.”

Ooh, are the … like curse words on TBS? Did McClure tell Guillen he needed to “shut the motherfather up?” Or was it in Spanish and the reporter didn’t have a translator. Because, you know, the Latino players…. they got a bit of The Hulk in them.

It was the third locker room altercation in the majors in the last 10 days — none of them pitted player vs. player. Pitcher Shawn Chacon threw down Houston general manager Ed Wade and Boston slugger Manny Ramirez reportedly shoved a team official.

So, once is an accident, twice is a coincidence, and three times is a pattern, huh? Well, it looks like the Gary Sheffield question about whether Latinos in baseball are pushovers has been answered. And apparently that answer is a bat upside your head.
