Accessory maker Nyko has a small gadget that may be of interest to more than one of you PS3 owners. It’s called the Media Hub and it plugs into the front of the PS3, adding three USB ports and an SD card slot. Just don’t be too quick to say “so what, who cares?”
As you may know, the PS3 has been available in like 18 different flavors. There was the launch models, which came with a 60GB or 20GB hard drive, and subsequent 40GB and 80GB models. The 20GB and 40GB models, though they were less expensive, lacked several features of their more expensive siblings, including front USB and SC card slots. Nyko, knowing loads of people opted for these less expensive version, developed the Media Hub.
The hub isn’t expensive, either, and will be available for $20 in August. A fine way to show off your photos on the big screen.
