Paul Pierce Talks Smack About Kobe Bryant And Paul Gasol In Spain

paul_pierce_spain.jpg

So the Celtics’ Paul Pierce (aka Crack, aka Stabby McStabbersons) is currently in Madrid to promote whatever it is recent NBA Champs promote overseas—or maybe give impoverished kids 2008 Lakers Championship T-shirts to run it in LA’s face. Whatever the case, while he was there, he decided to hop online and rap with the kids and answer some questions about who the best player in the world is (not Kobe), which Spaniard helped him win a title (it’s the Gasol not named Marc) and his sudden fascination with soccer. We’ve picked our favorite three and translated them for you below, as well as added some notes in there for your approval.

(Ed Note: BTW, we’ve edited the questions down a bit because those Spaniards… well, they’re a talkative bunch.)

  • JeSu989 asked: Hello Paul!!! Congratulations on your victory!!! [Ed Note: Shouldn’t it be ¡¡!?] My question is: how did you feel Pau [Gasol did] in the Finals?
Paul Replied: Great because he let me win! Thanks, Gasol!
We say: Wow, that’s cold. Pierce should be careful before talking smack about the national hero before the locals unleash those Pompolona Bulls on his ass to gore his ass. You don’t Paul doesn’t take kindly to sharp object being pushed into his body.
  • jesusmija asked: Hey Crack, do you like soccer?
Paul responded: I do like it, and i started following it more this year and I blame it on Beckham. Kevin Garnett is a huge Chelsea fan, but I don’t have a team yet—I’m still looking.
We Say: You’ve played your whole career in Boston, home to the Red Sox and the Patriots. There can be no other team for you than Manchester United. Trust us.
  • xiskovic asked: Is Kobe Bryant really the best player in the world?
Paul responded: I don’t think Kobe’s the best—I’m the best. There’s a line between having confidence in yourself and being presumptuous, and I don’t cross that line.
We say: Nothing. We can’t even follow up with a joke better than that one.

I wonder if he acquired any Spanish gang signs on his trip.
