Sasha Vujacic Upset No One Can Spell His Name In LA, May Leave To Europe

People would totally get Sasha Vujacic’s name right in and around Slovenia. And that’s where “The Machine” may end up. Sasha Vujacic performed better than he ever had for the Lakers this past season, so it’s peculiar that Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak hasn’t shelled out the cash to re-sign Sasha, a guy who is looking for a possible $5mil a year for 6 years contract. We understand that’s a lot of money to shell out for a guy who might shoot 40% from beyond the arc again, but what gives since Ronny Turiaf’s salary is officially quenched?

Lakers General Manager Mitch Kupchak has been negotiating with Vujacic’s agent, Rob Pelinka.
“We are very aware of the global market as it has changed over the years. It was our desire to bring Sasha and Ronny back. It continues to be our desire to bring Sasha back,” Kupchak said Thursday after hearing of Vujacic’s ultimatum. “However, with the ever-changing marketplace that Europe has become, a player, in order to cover his bases, can negotiate with his NBA team and, at the same time, have a plan that allows him to have the possibility of going overseas.”

But whose going to wear the soccer-esque headbands, Manu Ginobli? That guy has the monk spot going on and soon will be as bald as Mike Bibby. Yo, Mick. Get your player 4 years for $4.6mil. Bam. Done. Signed. Over.
