Because we know you’re so eager to catch up on the latest Alex Rodriguez/Madonna news. It’s been about three weeks since we last wrote on the allegedly-screwing-but-no-one-knows-for-sure duo, so we thought an update was necessary. Turns out Alex Rodriguez is still playing for the Yankees; he’s still hitting the snot out of the ball; and, good thing for us, he’s still being linked to Madonna. He’s reportedly going to donate half of a million dollars to Madonna’s charity known as “Raising Malawi.” Now that’s something worthy of praise. Not that shagging Madonna doesn’t merit acclamations. Anyway, where the hell were we?

“They’ve asked him for a million dollars,” a source told the News, “and I hear he’s agreed to give at least $500,000.”

The cheapskate! One million dollars isn’t even a half percent of his income! Actually, since half of what he earns is probably going to his wife and kids, then it’s a little less than one percent.
