Have you ever wanted a little green man to guide you threw your wedding vows? No? Then you’re quite normal by most standards. But one Portland, OR couple decided a wedding with the iconic theme would not only exemplify their devout love for each other, but also commemorate their sick obsession with a movie that rattled box offices four decades ago.

Rebecca D’Madeiros and Bill Duda were married in their backyard in Portland, Oregon in June, and requested their friends and family dressed as characters from the films.

The couple, who are both 36, spent nine months planning the intergalactic celebration.

“Rebecca and I are massive fans of the films and when were were planning the wedding we thought why not Star Wars?”, said Mr Duda, a school teacher. “It was a lot of fun - after all, it’s not everyday you get to be married by Yoda.”

How do you say “This is fucking weird” in “Yoda-Speak?” Oh. Right. Fucking weird, this is.
