One of the many Apple rumors that refuse to die is an all-you-can-eat iTunes subscription service. The rumor is back in the news again, with Apple supposedly toying with the idea of letting you pay $130 per year to have such a service.
It would work like Rhapsody or Napster in that it’s a yearly subscription-based service. For $130 a year, you’d initially get access to half of the store’s songs. Then, rather than downloading these songs to own, you’d be able to play them whenever you’re connected to the Internet.
Again, this rumor pops up every now and then, but a lot of the big Mac sites are all over it, so it’s worth a mention.
In any event, Apple’s media event next month should at the very least bring us new iPod. That’s pretty much a lock.
