In a statement he was sure to make after signing a fat ol’ contract with Chelsea, Big Phil Scolari (last seen smacking a guy, video below) declared that Manchester United will be kings of the EPL forever! Well not forever, but according to Scolari, it’s going to take at least fifty years before any team will become as synonymous with greatness as the Red Devils, including his own club. But Roman Abromovich has billions! If it can help him sign Nicolas Anelka, it can surely buy him longstanding EPL supremacy and bragging rights… right?

“Maybe in 20 or 50 years Chelsea will be on that level. Chelsea is a growing name.Before it was Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, Milan. But we are catching them up.Maybe it won’t be the same as them because our history is not the same. You don’t make history in one, two or even ten years.”

Maybe Scolari just needs to do some dirty, Ozzie Guillen-type work on the Red Devils to break them down quicker. Hey if the New England Patriots and San Antonio Spurs can go from zero to dynastic hero in a decade with a strong team, imagine what the Blues can do with a four hot scorers and a coach who’s not afraid to do some Three Stooges moves on Cristano Ronaldo or Carlos Tevez.
