Well where were the fireworks on this one. If we’d know the fiasco between Alex Rodriguez and Cynthia Rodriguez would culminate in a private, behind-the-scenes divorce, then we would have talked more smack and scoured through WENN’s archives for salacious photos of both parties. But noooo that had to be completely selfish with this story.

“Cynthia and Alex Rodriguez have amicably resolved their dissolution of marriage proceedings,” read a terse statement released by the superstar ball player’s lawyer, Alan Kluger.

Lame.

“They deliberately engaged in a private negotiation,” Kluger said. “This was and remains a personal family matter for both of them.”

In her divorce petition, Cynthia Rodriguez, 35, demanded the couple’s $12 million waterfront estate in Coral Gables, Fla., and “equitable distribution” of all assets acquired during the marriage.

She also asked for alimony and child support from A-Rod, who made $28 million this season. She asked for life and health insurance and enough to pay for private schools so she and their two daughters can maintain the “high standard of living” they’re used to.

And just think, she could have kept it all if she didn’t mind him trolling around with trollops every weekend. Oh…right…
