Bolton FC Player Doesn't Think Highly Of "Basketballers"

We’ve always been attracted to the rough play in the Premiership. Even though you can find us glued to any La Liga or FMF clash over any given weekend, the diving antics and flops usually get under our skin. Yet, one English player from Bolton who was vehemently convinced of giving Arsenal’s Theo Walcott some knocks this weekend explained what he believes is the beauty of his league’s style. Frankly, he likes to rough the hell out of players.

“At the end of the day, it is a physical sport. We don’t want to be like basketballers. We are in the gym four or five days a week to build ourselves up to try to stand up to challenges like that. “We are in danger of losing that side — the roughing up of people.”

Eduardo Da Silva would like to object the latter of that statement. But obviously this dude hasn’t seen Ron Artest play. Nonetheless, there is a valid question here: has the EPL gone too far with the rough play?
