



The regular season is officially over (except for the Chicago White Sox and the Detroit Tigers) and we missed Johnnie Walkers special promotion that coupled “137 years of Latinos in Baseball” with a Scotch/Whiskey blend in Arizona. We should have been notified of this earlier via, oh, press release or something since we are a Latino sports blog, but the marketing people at Johnnie Walker probably realized we’re Los Angeles Dodgers fans and said “screw them.” Still, this promotion is an interesting marker signifying the trend that Latinos are a powerful sector in the economy. Too bad we don’t drink Scotch/Whiskey blends anymore, nor would we ever invest in anything that directly links us to the Arizona Diamondbacks.
