We’ve never gotten used to Thierry Henry in the jester-like stripes of FC Barcelona. Be it known that we grew fond of him as a Gunner and we thought he’d end up a Gunner for life. But we wished him well in Barcelona because exciting soccer, in any uniform, is always a treat. But Thierry Henry has his limits. Sure he’ll duke it out with youngsters and primadonnas (Eto’o) for a spot on the strikers roster, but if you dare place him in the left-wing role, then he might just cut ya…or cut out of your team.
The Barcelona striker is unhappy after being forced to play on the left wing at the Nou Camp.Ex-Arsenal star Henry has held showdown talks with Barca boss Pep Guardiola about his future.
And he admits he may leave Spain - possibly for England - if his problems continue.
The France ace said: “For the moment, there is nothing to talk about.
“But if this continues, of course we will have to talk about it.
“It is true that I had talks with the coach before the start of the season. For me, the talks were clear.”
Obviously you have to look at Manchester City as a possible destination if we’re to speculate because they have all the money right now. But would this move backfire for Henry? What team with any prowess in the Premiership would take on his services now? Could he fix a return to Arsenal? Or maybe try to (re)build a team like Tottenham? We don’t know about you, but Henry in England is the only place we’d like to see him play.
