Facts: Tony Kornheiser was on Monday Night Football last night and said this during a cut-away between the English-broadcast and an excerpt of the ESPN Deportes coverage:

“I took high school Spanish, either he said he’s not going to be caught, or please pick up my dry cleaning tomorrow.”

He later apologized for his statements but what exactly did he say wrong? It’s obvious the networks panicked when Tony managed to correlate Spanish with dry-cleaning (dun dun dun!), so they probably forced the old geezer to rescind his comments, which we found to be incredibly unfunny, but hardly racist.

Yes, it was a pitiful attempt at humor, but does it not sound like Tony is simply engaging in thee ol’ humor-by-way-of-self-deprecation-act? And should he probably use a new shtick? Yes. Definitely. What do you guys think? Racist? Overreacting? Please, feel free to fill out the box below.
