Not since Kinky Friedman’s 2006 Texas gubernatorial campaign tagline “Kinky for Governor: How hard could it be?” has state politics seen such a convincing argument for election. Charles Barkley told CNN’s Campbell Brown recently that he plans to run for governor of his home state of Alabama in 2014 on the platform of education because he “can’t screw up Alabama. [It] needs a lot of help.” “There’s nowhere to go but up,” Campbell chimed in, much to the delight of Alabamans everywhere, we’re sure. The video clip is after the jump.
